Weekly Photo Challenge: Threes

For this week’s challenge, we are supposed to share three shots of the same subject. I took these candid shots between nephew and uncle during the Lunar New Year holidays.

The unsuspecting uncle gets a little surprise: a nephew’s fart!

Hard to get angry with that face.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Selfie – Sunbeams & Raindrops

What the Snow Reveals

When I woke up to the snow on Wednesday morning, I knew I’d have to work quickly to photograph the magical scene. As soon as I stepped out the door I could hear the snow melting. Yeongcheon isn’t dealing with the heaps of snow my friends in Gangwon-do are dealing with. Actually the snow was mostly gone by Wednesday afternoon.

The following pictures are descriptions of what the snow revealed to me.

Once again the snow reveals layers you would miss without it.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Objects of Nature

In my last entry for the “Object photo challenge, my objects were more on the abstract, unnatural side. Now we go back to the beach on Tioman Island, Malaysia and find objects that are still abstract, yet this time, all natural.

The objects are worth a close look. Click on a picture to see a slideshow of the gallery.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Object

After a long hiatus from WordPress’s Weekly Photo Challenge, this week’s prompt has pulled me back in: object. During my family’s recent trip to Tioman Island in Malaysia, I found many curious objects washed up on the shore.

Based on my pictures, you may think the beach was filthy. This is not the case. This is how beautiful the beach was.

Tioman Island

I just happened to find a small treasure filled patch. Perhaps, the rough rainy season waves were the cause of these little quirks.

I’m just keeping the legs

Then on a little hike to “town”, I found this bike chain melted into to asphalt. It was a hot day, but not this hot.
